ADA Beach Accessibility Mats
The good news is the AccessRec Mats at Venice Beach needed little or no maintenance, especially after recent high winds could have caused problems.
In checking with Elin Larsen from Beach Yoga today, she mentioned a small drift occurred and while she was sweeping it off, several folks from yoga offered to help maintain the mats too. She referenced Tom Sawyer “painting the fence” which brought a chuckle; overseeing the AccessRec mats are in good hands since Elin holds her class, weather permitting, at 8-9 am and sunset 365 days a year!
You can be proud to have this wonderful asset added to the City of Venice Beaches. The folks I’ve talked too and encouraged to call the City to Thank You” have really appreciated the effort on their behalf so they can sit in the sun and enjoy the beach.
